Terms of Service
Last updated July 10, 2026
Function is operated by Alex Vallaire ("we"). These terms are the ground rules for using Function. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
What Function is
Function lets hosts build event invite pages, collect RSVPs, issue digital tickets, and run check-in at the door. Guests can view invites and RSVP without an account.
Pricing
Function is free to use during early access. If paid features arrive (like paid ticketing), they'll be clearly marked and priced before you use them.
Your account
- You're responsible for your login and for what happens under your account.
- Keep your door PINs and staff links to people you trust; anyone with them can run your door.
- You must be at least 13 to create an account.
Your content and your guests
- You own what you upload. By posting it you give us permission to store and display it as needed to run the service, and nothing more.
- Hosts are responsible for their event pages, including images and what guests post on their walls. Hosts can moderate and delete guest posts.
- Guest contact info collected through RSVPs is for running your event. Don't sell it or spam people with it.
What you can't use Function for
- Anything illegal, or events promoting violence or hate.
- Harassment, impersonation, or posting content you don't have rights to.
- Spam, scraping, or attacking the service (rate limits are enforced).
We can remove content or close accounts that break these rules.
The service, as it is
Function is provided as-is, without warranties. We work hard to keep it fast and available, but we can't promise zero downtime, and we're not liable for indirect damages like a missed RSVP or a line at the door. Our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the last 12 months (right now: nothing).
Ending things
You can delete your account any time from the Account page. We can suspend accounts that violate these terms. Deleting your account removes your events and their guest data.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If a dispute isn't worked out informally, it will be handled by the state or federal courts located in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, and you agree to that venue.
Changes
If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use Function after a change means you accept the new terms.
